eSanté-EFES

The objectives of eSanté-EFES project are to:

• Improve the knowledge about existing requirements and constraints (functional, technical and informative ones), as well as the current working processes
• Propose concepts for the future eHealth Platform with its applications and services which meet the requirements and constraints of users and match the requirements of interoperability
• Estimate the costs of implementation and maintenance of the platform
• Promote the interoperability between information systems and applications inside the sector.
• Propose a business model for new services in eHealth

The first phase of this project intends to analyze the current situation of the healthcare sector in order to get knowledge about the current use of IT in the sector, to determine the existing relationships between the different actors, identify the current exchange of data between the actors and to identify further needs with respect to exchange and sharing of health related data.

It will also take into account potential information exchanges with other countries, international standards and potential interoperable systems, given to patients more mobility to obtain or to be followed in their treatments.

The results carried out in the first phase of the project will be used in the second one for specifying new services, databases, interactions and potential exchanges between caregivers, healthcare institutions, governmental departments and others services providers. New solutions will be proposed to facilitate the access to data from treatments, to minimize (or eliminate) prescriptions’ risks and to reduce administrative procedures and costs.

The know-how of CRP in secured data exchange (acquired from HealthNet - more than 10 years of experience) will be used to guarantee confidentiality, authentication and integrity of medical data.
